CallRepair and Claim Review

Our team

Different disciplines. One commitment to the owner.

Construction, insurance, community management, commercial real estate, and law inform our approach to the problems building owners face.

Your multidisciplinary team

Five perspectives.
One coordinated engagement.

Construction, insurance, community association management, commercial real estate and law each contribute something different. We combine those perspectives in one plan, with involvement tailored to the matter.

Insurance & claims

Former senior insurance adjuster

Identify gaps between the repair evidence, the claim file and the insurer’s stated payment position.

When this perspective matters
When reviewing claim handling, disputed estimates, requests for information and proposed payment.
What it brings into view
The documents, valuation assumptions and unresolved questions behind a claim decision; who needs what information to reconsider it.
The decision it supports
What claim evidence needs development and how to present it. Kelly connects that analysis to coverage, legal duties and available remedies.

Construction & repair

Former construction superintendent

Test whether a proposed repair accounts for access, sequencing, affected assemblies and the work needed to put the building back together.

When this perspective matters
During investigation planning, repair-scope comparisons and review of proposed repair or settlement terms.
What it brings into view
How the work would be performed, what assumptions need testing, and where specialist findings or contractor pricing are needed.
The decision it supports
What to investigate and how to compare repair alternatives. The legal team uses that practical context to develop supported repair-cost evidence.

Community associations

Community association management expert

Bring board decisions, resident access, owner communication and funding pressures into the repair-and-recovery plan.

When this perspective matters
As an association plans investigation, considers repair choices and communicates decisions to owners.
What it brings into view
Management records, meeting cycles, resident concerns and continuity needs that can affect a workable strategy.
The decision it supports
What the board needs to decide, who should communicate it, and what must carry forward to the next board—coordinated with existing management and general counsel.

Commercial real estate

Commercial real estate expert

Connect repair timing to tenants, operating income, carrying costs and the owner’s constraints.

When this perspective matters
While comparing investigation, repair and claim-resolution options for an income-producing property.
What it brings into view
Lease and occupancy impacts, operating records, financing dates and ownership priorities that need to inform the legal team.
The decision it supports
How to compare the practical consequences of the available options, alongside the owner’s existing property, financial and professional advisers.

Industry experience informs the legal work. It does not substitute for independent engineering, architecture, accounting or other specialist opinions when those are needed. The engagement identifies the people involved, their roles and the scope of their work.

Kelly McCann, attorney and former construction estimator and superintendent

Kelly McCann · Attorney

Kelly McCann. Attorney.

Before becoming a lawyer, Kelly worked in the construction industry as an estimator and superintendent. That practical background helps him evaluate repair scopes, contractor explanations, insurance estimates, expert opinions, and the real-world work required to fix damaged or defective property.

That background informs the legal work: building the proof, understanding the decisions that shape a claim, and choosing the next move in light of repair needs and the owner’s objectives. You do not need to know the legal category before contacting the firm.

Construction and insurance experience, connected.
